Oxygen saturation (SpO2)

Measured with a pulse oximeter, blood saturation, or more precisely pulsed oxygen saturation (SpO2), corresponds to the percentage of oxygenated hemoglobin. A normal value is between 95 and 100%. Arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2), on the other hand, represents the arterial saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen, measured by blood gas (which requires blood sampling).[1]
